What is good?

Jesus Christ was greeted with the title, "good teacher". His reply to that person was, "Why do you call me good? Only God is good."

The list of "these qualities" is found in the last letter written by Peter the disciple of Jesus. Peter believed Jesus' claim for himself that he was God who came to mankind in the flesh and therefore that he alone is good.

"These Qualities" are specific aspects of God's Divine nature. Peter exhorted those who have come into a *faith relationship with God through Jesus Christ are to **practice "these qualities" by ***participating in God's divine nature. (*II Peter 1:1, **II Peter 1:4, ***II Peter 1:10)
